Bryce Farnham night

It was senior night. We had just finished our warm up and we were standing in a huddle around Mr. Tracey. They were about to start announcing seniors. I listened closely while they named off the seniors on track, and then band and cheering. Finally they called to single senior on the basketball team. Me. I walked over and gave Mr. Tracey and Miles a hug and collected my rose. My mom and dad came down as well. They handed me more flowers and gave me a hug. I turned around and my team mauled me in hugs. We had our last five minutes of warm up. I sat on the bench. For the first time this year I was starting varsity. I knew it was only because it was senior night and I would play long but I still acted as if it mattered. I played for about five minutes and thought I was doing a fairly decent job. No good enough to play any longer though. I was taken out and warmed the bench for the rest of the game.

It was Bryce's senior night. She said she was going to start. I watched them warm up, she looked as if she was feeling okay. They all sat on the bench as they announced the seniors from indoor track, the band, and cheering. Bryce's name was called and she stood up and walked over to her coaches. She gave them each a hug and received a 'golden' rose. Her parents followed close behind and also hugged her and gave her more flowers. She walked back over to her teammates and they all showered her in hugs. They warmed up for an extra 5 minutes. She was sitting on the bench when they started off, meaning she was going to start. She was the last one called. They all cheered as her name was called, she had a huge smile on her face. A few girls sang the nation anthem; afterwards the game began. Bryce played hard and kept that big girl off the block. She fouled a couple times but that big girl didn't make a single basket-besides foul shots- while Bryce was in. After a few minutes subs came in and Bryce sat on the bench and cheered her team on to another lose once again.
